Received her PhD in Modern History fron the University of The Basque Country (2012).
Her thesis, titled Gender representations in Spanish cinema (1936-1982): Figures and dissures, focuses on the analysis of female and male identity models during the Franco period and the transition through an interpretive readind of the films who achieved greater popularity. Along with the study of normative models, the thesis also explores the margins of those figures.
